Great News everyone as of last night Jeremy has spoken! Granted it was more like whisper, but one thing this adversity has not trampled is his spirit! He had numerous animated facial expressions as replies to my questions. At times I laughed so loudly other nurses were coming in to see what was all the commotion was about! I genuinely feel blessed to have witnessed his bright shining spirit to be intact. He asked a few questions and had one request, MOVIES (VHS) please! So lets rally together and build him a video library! He asked specifically for National Lampoons Family Vacation, I offered Caddyshack as a suggestion and he nodded "Yes". Clearly the genre is COMEDY. I suppose laughter is the best medicine :)
This is our first call to action I can imagine it will yeild an outpouring of the entire comdey section from Blockbuster. Before you guys rush off to your local video stores, I am in the process of creating a carepage for Jeremy. It is a great website that combines posting your messages, privately emailing us with questions, an update section, and in time pictures of Jeremy's smiling face!
So inorder to not create any confusion please go to the website www.carepages.com create a login (sorry about that) the name of his page is Jeremy Lynch and you can post a message on the message board. In the subject line please write the movie you would like to donate. Hopefully people will check the website, read the names we won't have a problem with duplicates, triplicates, etc.
Also you all may drop items for Jeremy off at the Voltaire address. If you live near it doesn't have to be mailed. Again he cannot have flowers in ICU, but cards, letters, picutres, and emails are all being taped up in his room!
Again Thank you all for your emails, his family is greatly appreciative of your support. Some of you who have grown up with Jeremy and Kristen, and have been there for him through the loss of his parents, want to now be there for him again. In time he will need your presence to provide him with strength. But I asked him last night if he would like any visitors and he shook his head "No". I said that is Ok, you focus on healing and I will ask again later to see if you change your mind and he shook his head "Yes".
As one of his many Florence Nightingale's I can assure you that right now is not the best time to see and be seen by Jer. He looks fine, there is no deformity or lacerations, just lots of bruises everywhere. Right now his greatest hurdle, and our main concern is healing his lungs. Once those are better, which is just a matter of time, he can then be moved out of ICU. Like I said before he has good days like Thursday night and we talked for an hour, then he needs to recover, and sleeps all day like today.
Jeremy did sustain a spinal cord injury, but don't count this man down before he is out. My personal belief is that his big broken body is healing, and we CANNOT assume anything. Nor has there been enough time to accurately assess his situation.
His recovery is just beginning, I personally give him massage treatments multiple times a day, and I have met with his occupational therapist to learn the exercises for his arms and legs; so I can be even more effective throughout my bedside shifts. His Neurosurgeon and Spiritual Healers are particularly optimistic about his potential for recovery, as am I, and hopefully you are too. From the smiles, and winks he shot me last night I believe Jeremy also, is not about to let himself feel like he has any lifetime limitations.
So here is your second call to action, Jeremy has expressed that he would like to be sympathized for and supported, but in no way pityed or babyed. For those of you who know Jer he is a person larger than life, and most of us, literally :) He is a charasmatic man who cannot be constrained or bounded to any mold or generalization, thus neither can our support for him. We have to believe that Jeremy has the option of every possible outcome ranging from restricted mobility to complete independence and every variation inbetween. But most importantly we MUST remember that whatever the reality ends up being, it is a long time from now.
So for today and tommorrow, and each day your thoughts turn to him do not focus on the outcome you think is realistic, because through God all things are possible. So while his body is healing please focus your prayers on the things we change today, like getting those lungs better and off the ventaltor so you all can visit him yourselves!!!!!!
Thank You again. You all are wonderful friends, your generosity and kindness is truely uplifting!!!! Jeremy and his family are very lucky and extremely appreciative!!!!!! You all ROCK :)

Hi Everyone, Thank you all for your emails. I will bring them to him tonight. Especially Kip we appreciate your friends advice. But, we have good news to report today, after a difficult weekend Jeremy has awoken! He can respond to questions with yes and no head shakes so we have found if his room is too cold, if he wants music, etc. He is on a resperator and until his lungs can do the job themselves he will a have tube down his throat. That makes it hard for anyone to fully assess his situation.
I have been asked to caution you all with your phone calls. We completely understand your concern and appreciate your support. If you would like to speak to someone please email us your phone number and we will contact you. His sister and wife are overwhelmed with decisions and the nurses can not continue to field all the calls. We know your intention is to be informed and as I get information I will share it with you all. But it takes time to see his condition progress. He cannot have plants in the room but if you would like to send cards, balloons, pictures, etc. Send them to 3938 Voltaire St. SD, CA 92107 and we will get them to him.
I know you all are anxious to find out when you can visit, and unfortunately that will not be as soon as you would like it. The hospital is limiting visitors to immeadiate family only and cannot release any info about him. As he gets better and is moved out of ICU you all will be invited to visit, I know he misses his friends. As for now visitors are stressful, and each day presents it's own struggles. I hope you all believe in the power of prayer, because that is how miracles are made

He is doing well, for someone who was in a vehicle that rolled three times.  As of now Jer is recovering in the surgical ICU and is receiving great care. He is doing better everyday and is the best looking guy in there!
The doctors are very hopeful there is a good chance of recovery, since he is young and full of life!!! Jeremy needs his support system now more than ever, your thoughts and prayers are deeply appreciated.
Due to the recency and nature of this strange twist of fate, his family is facing a time for many decisions. We are grateful for your concern, and if you have any questions please feel free to contact us at supportjer@hotmail.com.
Your letters will be shared with Jeremy, and in the appropriate time a website will be created for you all to see his recovery as he progresses. For now your kind thoughts and well wishes will be your greatest support for Jer and his family, and we promise to update this website. Thank you all again for your concern and your support!!!!!!
